2013
Since I’ve moved to Alaska, I’ve felt the intimidating pressure of the masculine spirit throughout the state, from the jobs that are offered to the ways in which we prepare for the long winters. We have to wade through the constant tide of favoritism for the masculine in not just Alaska but throughout the lower 48. This show flips off masculinity in favor of the feminine.
Participating artists include:
Mike Houston - printmaking
Claude – video
Sandy Gillespie – mixed media
Keren Lowell – mixed media
Mike Conti – mixed media
Cole M Robbins – mixed media
Carl Hild – stone sculptures
Dick Sanders - collage
Christina Fenner – painting
Ellen Frankenstein – video
